We haven’t mentioned this in quite a while, but I want to thank those of you who have contributed to the Joseph Fischer Memorial Scholarship at Biola University. The scholarship was set up anonymously the week after Joe died and has been continuously helping to fund the education of deserving students in the Music Department there. Each semester we receive thank-you notes from the students who have benefitted from this scholarship fund.
Joe spent the last several years of his life leading worship, teaching guitar, and mentoring young musicians, especially those interested in serving God with their talent. The memorial scholarship is a way to continue his efforts and his ministry. So thank you again—to the person or persons who set up the fund, and to those who keep it funded. You are making a difference. Note: we do not receive notice of who gives or how much; we only receive notes from the recipients of the scholarship.
If you would like to donate to the scholarship fund, go to https://connect.biola.edu/give. From the drop-down menu choose “Other”; in the empty box type in “Joseph Fischer Memorial Scholarship.”
